Proceeds will provide funding for breast and ovarian cancer support services.
More than 9,000 people participated in the 3-mile walk in 2015.
Volunteers greet and welcome cancer survivors at the Survivor's Welcome Area. Local bands, cheerleaders and other community groups encourage and cheer walkers along the path.
Families, friends, co-workers and teams participate, as do individual walkers.
Supporters can raise funds by asking family and friends for donations or creating personal online fundraising pages.
Tribute signs featuring messages of support, celebration or commemoration can be purchased for display along the walk path for $50 each.
Kacey Morabito Grean of 100.7 WHUD Radio’s “Mike and Kacey in the Morning,” and Bill Powers of Powers PR Video will serve as Honorary Chairpersons for the event.
